Peer Review Policy & Guidelines
The UHRI Research Journal follows a rigorous and high-quality evaluation process to maintain the academic integrity and credibility of all published research papers. Given our multidisciplinary nature, every manuscript is evaluated by independent experts from its specific field of study.

8 to 12 Weeks
1. Type of Peer Review
Double-Blind Peer Review: Our journal follows a strict Double-Blind Peer Review process. Under this system, the identity of the Author(s) is concealed from the Reviewers, and vice versa, ensuring complete anonymity and unbiased evaluation.
2. Step-by-Step Peer Review Timeline
⏳ PHASE 1
3–7 Days
Initial Submission & Desk Screening
The Editorial Team conducts a preliminary check to ensure the paper aligns with the journal's scope, formatting guidelines, and plagiarism policy. Papers that do not meet these basic standards face immediate desk rejection.
👥 PHASE 2
Within 1 Week
Reviewer Assignment
Eligible papers are forwarded to at least two (2) independent reviewers selected from our multidisciplinary expert panel to ensure an unbiased evaluation.
🔍 PHASE 3
4–6 Weeks
Evaluation Process
Reviewers critically evaluate the manuscript based on key parameters: Originality, novelty, and contribution to existing knowledge; Technical correctness of the methodology and data analysis; Multidisciplinary relevance and clarity of expression; Adherence to ethical standards and proper citations.
📢 PHASE 4
1–2 Weeks
Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief or the Handling Editor makes the final publication decision based on the comprehensive reports submitted by the peer reviewers.
3. Review Outcomes / Decisions
Reviewers provide one of the following four recommendations for each manuscript:
✅ Accept As It Is
The paper is ready for publication without any modifications.
📝 Minor Revisions
The author must make minor corrections or clarifications before publication.
⚠️ Major Revisions
The paper requires significant improvements and will undergo a second round of review.
❌ Reject
The paper does not meet the scholarly benchmarks of the journal.
4. Ethical Responsibilities & Confidentiality
- Confidentiality: The manuscript data remains completely confidential throughout the review process. Reviewers are strictly prohibited from sharing or using the research material.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must recuse themselves from evaluating a paper if they share any personal, financial, or professional relationship with the authors.
- Plagiarism Prevention: All submitted manuscripts undergo a strict plagiarism check using professional software before being sent out for peer review.
